At Globelink West Star (GLWS), the management believes in celebrating a successful year with their staff and families. As the saying goes, "Work Hard, Play Hard"!
Having broadened our sporting activity from mere cricket to other sports, we have rechristened West Star Premier League into Globelink Sports Carnival which comprise of various sports events. The event started in mid-December 2021 and concluded on 26th & 27th March 2022 at the prestigious venue "Sharjah Cricket Stadium". More than 1,500 participants, including staff and family members joined in the fun.
The organizing committee also added for the first time, a cultural extravaganza of dance and music this year. On both days, as the sun descended to the horizon, a 10x12 metres giant stage with dramatic lighting, stereo sound system, and massive digital display in the backdrop provided a perfect platform for our GLWS' talents to exhibit their skills in dance and music. More than 90 participants took the stage to showcase their talent!
The high octane filled sports and cultural event extravaganza as part of Globelink Sports Carnival, in effect travels beyond the frontiers of any celebration. Despite the huge cost, time and effort of planning and orchestrating such a massive event, the management decided to do it. The event was a great success and I'm sure the staff are all geared to continue to work hard for a greater 2022! |
